Welcome to Star Train Academy (S.T.A.)
S.T.A - updated premises

Paula and Tom Grunbaum, the owners, believe that children who participate in song and dance increase their self-esteem and self-motivation. They develop a discipline that provides them with the poise and foundation that are invaluable in any future endeavour, whether in the theatrical arts or in a profession where confidence and discipline are essential.

We maintain a standard of excellence and nurturing that benefits our students in the body, mind and spirit.

 What do we provide?
Singing

Singing is an important feature at S.T.A. Our Singing tuition is tailored to meet individual needs. Beginners can learn basic vocal technique while more experienced singers can consolidate their technique and expand their repertoire.
Particular attention is paid to the importance of relaxation and singing with full meaning.

Creative Jazz

Jazz has roots in the combination of West Africa and Western music traditions, including spirituals, blues and ragtime stemming from West Africa, western Sahel, and New England's religious hymns, hillbilly music and European military band music.
Classical Ballet

Ballet is a specific academic dance form and technique which is taught in ballet schools according to specific methods.

Ballet is best known for its unique features and techniques, such as pointe work, turn-out of the legs, and high extensions; its graceful, flowing, precise movements; and its ethereal qualities.

Tap Dancing

Tap dance was developed in the Untied States during the nineteenth century, and is popular nowadays in many parts of the world. The name comes from the tapping sound made when the small metal plates on the dancer's shoes touch a hard floor.

Hip Hop Dancing
Hip hop (also spelt hip-hop or hiphop) is both a music genre and a cultural movement developed in New York City starting in the 1970s, predominantly by African American's and Latinos.
